On the occasion of the Athens Biennale, Vessel's curators and co-founders, Viviana Checchia and Anna Santomauro, will continue Radio Materiality's investigation about cultural production in the Euro-Mediterranean area.

During the biennial, Vessel will make Radio Materiality’s experiences accessible thanks to a "station" where people can listen and talk, a place to reflect on the role of alternatives in the current scenario, both cultural and social. The audio material that will be disposable at the Station, will come from the previous steps of the project: the curatorial research we had in Madrid in December 2012, the investigations of the Radio Materiality’s artists in Bari during the summer, and from a series of conversations we are having in Greece during this month. These meetings will be moments of brainstorming between practitioners active in Greece and curators involved in Radio Materiality in order to explore alternative and sustainable strategies taking place within the local cultural production.
